Now that I’ve lost all hope I always want less. I want less small talk, less friends, less noise and less commitments. I am making space for more authentic conversations, more real relationships, more time for solitude and more moments of freedom.

Does life sometimes feel that way to you? That there are days that feel really bad and there are days that feel really good? It’s like one day you feel like you’re doing really great until something upsets you and starts to ruin your day. And that day starts to count as a bad day when really it isn’t, and we choose to hit the self-destruct button hoping for a beautiful next day. Why is it so hard for us to accept that most days are simply happy mediums? They’re neither too bad or too good—they’re just okay, normal and simple. Enough for us to learn that it’s okay to take baby steps and not figure out everything all at once because that makes us succumb to anxiety at the end of the day which cripples our natural growth and makes us stressed out as we chase after impossible deadlines. And that’s why most of the time it is crucial for us to accept that most days aren’t perfect, smooth and flawless—they are simply happy mediums which means taking life one day at a time and realizing that sometimes good enough is genuinely good enough.
